Supporting Our Communities
Superior Grocers is committed to actively supporting each community it serves. We are dedicated to enriching local youth programs, schools, and church organizations to enhance the lives of families and make a positive impact in their communities. Superior values the importance of the community's vitality and educational programs, and is therefore committed to becoming active partners.
Superior Grocers is a strong supporter of many local schools, youth programs, and church organizations. Our involvement also extends to various charities and workforce development programs.
We hire within our communities and focus on a diverse workforce to create a culture that better serves our customers, our employees and our communities. We invest in training and developing employees through various community workforce programs that exceed industry standards. This empowers employees to grow and expand their future career potential within our company thus creating the Superior family.
The Superior family of employees recognizes the importance of excellent customer service and strives to make all of our customers feel appreciated.
Our annual golf tournaments provide a great opportunity for participants and sponsors to join in Superior's commitment of actively contributing to local youth. Since the first tournament in 1998, over $1.5 million dollars in proceeds have been donated to schools in the communities we serve. Upon Superior's request, selected schools are identified by local city government officials to receive a donation and be recognized at a special awards banquet.
